Which Are The Best Article Directories With The Most Exposure?
If you know anything at all about marketing online then you will no doubt have heard about article directories.
There are hundreds of these all over the internet, but that doesn’t mean it is worth submitting to all of them. If you get to know what the best article submission sites are and you submit your articles to them regularly, you can expect to get a lot of exposure and a potentially huge number of people reading your articles and clicking on your link to visit your website too.
So which sites should you be going to? Here are the top three:
Ezine Articles
This is a huge article directory and it is easily known as being the best one of the lot. At the time of writing it has over one hundred and twenty thousand authors who have realized its benefits, and that number is set to keep rising.
There are plenty of reasons why you should submit your articles to this site, but the main one is definitely that Google loves it with a passion. If you look up almost any subject on that search engine, the chances are very high that you will find at least one article from Ezine Articles ranking somewhere on the first page.
There are also plenty of good categories to post your articles in, and you will find the member’s dashboard is full of information and very easy to use as well.
Buzzle
Despite the rather strange name this site is a definite hit with anyone wanting to increase the traffic to their website.
It looks a lot more polished than a lot of article directories, and each author gets their own profile page which they can fill out with some information about themselves. This page also contains an author widget which should encourage some of your ardent readers to tell everyone about you on their web page!
And you can of course also link through to your website, to get that much needed traffic you are after. You can do this from your profile and also from the end of each article you write.
As with Ezine Articles there are plenty of categories to post your content to, and the process is made as easy as possible. This should definitely be on your ‘to do’ list to join if you are not already a member.
Search Warp
This site promotes itself as a writer’s community, and it certainly is. But don’t let that fool you into thinking that you won’t get plenty of exposure and traffic from posting your articles here.
The author’s dashboard is a great place to start, with lots of data and information on all the articles you submit. Not only can you see how much traffic each article is getting, you will also see whether each piece is getting search engine referrals. You can also generate a fan club at Search Warp, so if people like what you are writing about, you could benefit in more than one way.
Area219.com
This site calls itself a content directory, and takes article submissions on almost any topic. One of the advantages of using Area219.com is that they allow you to insert your Adsense publisher ID into your profile and then shares the ad impressions on your article pages with you 50/50.
The site is fairly new but will undoubtedly grow exponentially once people start seeing the benefit of sharing the Adsense revenue with the directory.
These are some the top article directories online today, so make sure you are a part of all of them.

Build Me A Website
Introduction
When I decided I needed a website for my business I had no idea of the very many processes involved. Like most people, I thought web design meant deciding on the graphics and the look of the pages and then by some magic it would all happen.
I have a friend who is in the business of web design and website development so I approached him for a quote. As a complete novice who is computer literate up to a point, I was amazed at the depth of initial questioning required to find out exactly what I wanted to achieve.
I had no idea about the various aspects and the structure of the site and I found it mind blowing when I learned about the amount of work involved. So I thought other people would be interested to know more about this complicated process and I have asked my friend to supply the technical information for this article.
Stages in the Process
Target Audience
Before building a website there are important questions to consider. I was asked who would be my potential audience. Who are my customers likely to be? Would they be children, businesses, home owners, sales people, parents or teenagers and so on?
The objective of the website
Then I was asked, what was the purpose of my website?
Did I want to sell products on line or use it to market my business and get more leads for possible customers? Maybe I would want to use it as an online brochure to showcase products. Another possibility was to use the website to foster a community so that I was in contact with other like-minded people, with chat rooms, online discussion and being supported by advertising on the site.
I hadn’t quite realised the scope of a website but as I was asked these questions it became clear that a lot of careful thought went into the preparation before building a website.
How to be Found on the Web
One of the first questions I was asked was, ‘Do you want it to be found by Google the main search engine?’ If I did then there was a whole process of establishing Keywords. So finding the best keywords are vital if you want to be found in Google. Generally most users only look at the first page of results so you will also want to promote your website to get on this page for your chosen keywords. By using a keyword research tool you can find the single most popular keyword for your industry.
Your Domain Name
Choosing a domain name is often quite a challenge because every name you initially come up with will almost certainly have been taken. Domain names ending in .com are by far the most popular and internationally recognised; the snag is that it’s very popularity means that the majority of the shorter names have already been registered.
So looking at names with endings such as .net; .co.uk or .info may be able to provide you with the domain name you would like to have. When choosing your domain name it is very important to include one or more of your keywords if possible as this can apparently help with search engine rankings. So although the name of your business is the obvious choice for a domain name, it is not necessarily the only option.
Creating a Site Map
The importance of creating a site map is to get it clear in your mind of all the pages you will have on your website so you can prepare the content for each page and begin to design the flow through the website, such as when a user adds a product to their basket, then enters their delivery and billing address and makes the credit card payment in the correct order.
The aim is to make the site as user friendly as possible so that there are no barriers to getting into the website. For that reason often user name and passwordz are set for the customer so that they are not put off making a purchase by having to register.
For a non e-commerce site things are simpler with a contact form which allows you to receive enquiries by email without publishing your email address on the website, thus avoiding junk email.Web forms can also validate the information before you receive it, so ensuring that the phone number provided does not contain words, and that the email address is in the correct format, for example. These things may sound very technical to us lay-folk but I assure you everything has to be decided in advance before starting on the construction of the site.
Copy
The next stage is preparing the content. This is not the design of your website - just the words and visuals you want to have one each of the pages.
Having gathered all the previous information you will need to decide what imagery you want to use within the website content. As we all know, a picture speaks a thousand words and remains in people’s memory far longer than just words.
For each image you should also have a caption, as the caption of an image is the next ‘most read’ words on the page after the page title. Images and their captions need to be clickable. When you click on a picture it should take you to the next stage of the process such as the sale page or placing an enquiry if your website is for lead generation.
Navigation
Another important consideration when building a website is how you want your navigation to work. You can have links within the content of your website, in the text, so there are not just links from the menu. You will need to decide whether the links will open into a new window, retaining your original page open. Next time you go online, you will realise how much thought has gone into the way in which a website works.
Website Design
Finally we come to the design of your website. I asked my friend in Nottingham web design to comment about this and he says it is one of the most difficult stages of the process because it’s subjective. What one person might like, another person might not like. If you are setting up a website for yourself alone then you will probably have some idea of what you want to see on the site. But if, as so often happens, the website is for a large corporation there will be inputs from many people or departments and you can be sure that they will never all agree!
There are a number of ways to approach web design but ultimately you need to create a design brief for the designer(s) to work from. Look at other websites and your competitor’s websites to find out what you like or dislike. The design brief should give reference to the logo, any existing brand guidelines or schemes and fonts and colour schemes, and should also detail which pages of the website that the designer is being tasked with creating visuals for.
The very best results will be achieved by using a graphic designer, and beware - not all graphic designers are the same. A graphic designer who designs specifically for print is working in a different discipline than a graphic designer who designs for screen and specifically the web. So choose your designer carefully, look at other work that person has done and determine whether or not you like their style.
If you are working in the big time and budget allows, use multiple graphic designers who have all been given the same design brief and request three concept designs from each designer. If the client themselves also do a graphic design, even if it’s a back of the envelope scribble, you will then have 10 concept designs. The next step is to get them all together and select the preferred elements from each design. Then give the work to the preferred graphic designer to work up as the final artwork.
The artwork should be finalised and agreed on by everybody before development of the site begins.
Production
Finally the preparation has been done and the site is ready to be built. Now for the more technical stuff! You will need to have decided which programming language to use to build the website. There are two main types for developing a website, one is Unix based, and the other is Windows based. Each one has pros and cons. If you are starting from scratch then it probably won’t matter, so you can go with the preference of your professional doing the work. My website is built on the Unix platform (apparently!) which is the same as many of the more well known websites such as Ebay, Facebook, Google and Amazon. Also your website hosting must be compatible with the development language with which your website is built.
Accessibility and Compliance
The website has to meet the current standards for website coding and doing so insures that disabled users, such as the visually impaired, can still access the entire website if they are using a screen reader.
Website Development
The best way to develop a website is on the web Server where the site is going to live. This way, those involved in reviewing the work can see work in progress and provide comments throughout the development.
Unforeseen items
There are always some things that arise in any project which you suddenly realise you have forgotten, so no matter how well the web designer prepares and asks the right questions, there will always be a last minute change or addition. The main aim is to minimise the number of glitches that might arise because they aren’t calculated in and they could cause extra costs and delays on the date of the website going live.
Publishing Your New Website
The moment of excitement comes when your site finally goes live and you see the results of all the thought that has gone into the whole process. I was over the moon to see my barn conversions website go live. As soon as the site has gone live there is no substitute for real world testing though, so ask as many of your friends and colleagues to view the website from their own offices and give you their thoughts.
Reporting and Monitoring
Once your website is up and running, you will want to know how many people visit your website and from that number how many actually buy the products or place an enquiry. From these statistics you can work out the ratio of hits to sales and gradually make changes to improve the ratios. There are some reliable statistics packages such as Google Analytics or Web-Stat.com which allow you to collect and review website visitor data in near real time. All you need to do this is to have a small block of code inserted into each web page on your site.
Another useful service that Web-stat.com provides is to monitor the website and warn you by email or text message if the site goes down.
Marketing
Once the website is live there are lots of things you can do to market your product or service. The first step is to submit it to the search engines and at the same time write articles, and press releases. Getting links to the site from forums, blogs and other social networking spaces are other options. For more on this subject ask your developer about SEO
Conclusion
Wheww. What an amazing amount of work! I hadn’t realised when I started the process of getting a website up and running, how complicated it all is and how many factors you have to consider before even designing the website. The word web design is really a misnomer, as people often think it’s just about the graphic design on the home page, and the branding of the product. Unless you are a computer buff, most people have no idea how much goes into designing and building a website and the systems that support the work you want it to do. I hope that this article will give readers an understanding and insight into the whole process of website development from start to finish.

Unlimited Bandwidth Web Hosting - What More Do We Need
It possible that almost everybody you come across has their own website. If not for e-commerce, your friends might have a basic personal blog where they can interact with friends and family, make new friends or simply exchange ideas. So how do you set about locating unlimited bandwidth webhosting? It all depends on what’s needed in your web page. If you’re wishing to conduct business on the web, you should think about such add-ons as shopping carts, merchant accounts, computer languages and other features with which to manage your online shop.
Do you need to take on a designer to create your web site in order to start selling? If this is the case, you should think about more than simply bandwith. host with unlimited bandwidth on its own may not meet your needs. however, should you only wish to have a presence online, a place where your friends and admirers can log on to and see what you’re up to, web host unlimited bandwidth should be high on your list of considerations.
For personal web pages needs, a number of cheap web hosting unlimited bandwidth providers provide a ready to go templates where you can list your profile, pics and a ‘friends’ list. Some offer bulletin forums and private IM conversations too. Therefore if your interest is mainly conversation based with just web presence, this kind of web hosting may be right for you.
On the other hand, if your purpose is corporate, low-priced site hosting may not suit your needs. When selling products on the world wide web, there’s nothing more damaging than launching your web page only to learn, too late, that your web host are unable to fulfill your bandwidth needs. Then, you’ve simply exhausted your money. Sure, you’ll have a web site, but your buyers will be put off when they can’t buy because your hosting company don’t have the resources to supply the all-important bandwidth for you to do business and close the sale.
It comes down to this if you’re hosting a business on the web, you should seek advice from a webmaster to advise you on what’s needed to handle e-commerce sales. If it means paying that little bit extra, it’s well worth that extra expense. If you are not in business, use the search engines to help you flush out top cheap host with unlimited bandwidth providers.
Although you’re merely searching for a web page that makes you available for friends to check you out, research that cheap web hosting unlimited bandwidth providers to see that they do offer what they state. Visit Yahoo and type, ’scams service provider name’. If the webhost has not delivered as they promised, your search will turn up bad comments to warn you against less than reliable hosting service. Bad reviews travels quickly on the web.
Once you come across a webhost that is recommended by people you know and doesn’t return any results from your review search, it’s likely you have come across a good hosting with unlimited bandwidth.

Website Design
A web site is a collection of information about a particular topic or subject. Designing a web site is defined as the arrangement and creation of web pages that in turn make up a web site. A web page consists of information for which the web site is developed. A web site might be compared to a book, where each page of the book is a web page.
There are many aspects (design concerns) in this process, and due to the rapid development of the Internet, new aspects may emerge. For non-commercial web sites, the goals may vary depending on the desired exposure and response. For typical commercial web sites, the basic aspects of web design are:
- The content: the substance, and information on the site should be relevant to the site and should target the area of the public that the website is concerned with.
- The usability: the site should be user-friendly, with the interface and navigation simple and reliable.
- The appearance: the graphics and text should include a single style that flows throughout, to show consistency. The style should be professional, appealing and relevant.
- The visibility: the site must also be easy to find via most, if not all, major search engines and advertisement media.
A web site typically consists of text and images. The first page of a web site is known as the Home page or Index. Some web sites use what is commonly called a Splash Page. Splash pages might include a welcome message, language or region selection, or disclaimer. Each web page within a web site is an HTML file which has its own URL. After each web page is created, they are typically linked together using a navigation menu composed of hyperlinks. Faster browsing speeds have led to shorter attention spans and more demanding online visitors and this has resulted in less use of Splash Pages, particularly where commercial web sites are concerned.
Once a web site is completed, it must be published or uploaded in order to be viewable to the public over the internet. This may be done using an FTP client. Once published, the web master may use a variety of techniques to increase the traffic, or hits, that the web site receives. This may include submitting the web site to a search engine such as Google or Yahoo, exchanging links with other web sites, creating affiliations with similar web sites, etc.
Multidisciplinary requirements
Web site design crosses multiple disciplines of information systems, information technology and communication design. The web site is an information system whose components are sometimes classified as front-end and back-end. The observable content (e.g. page layout, user interface, graphics, text, audio) is known as the front-end. The back-end comprises the organization and efficiency of the source code, invisible scripted functions, and the server-side components that process the output from the front-end. Depending on the size of a Web development project, it may be carried out by a multi-skilled individual (sometimes called a web master), or a project manager may oversee collaborative design between group members with specialized skills.

OfflineBiz.com: Getting Your First Client
Getting your first client as an offline business consultant can be intimidating, but here are two great tips either one of which virtually guarantees that you’ll get off to a roaring start. The first strategy involves finding key businesses that can really help you and offering them your advice for free.
It is your local Chamber of Commerce. The CoC hold regular morning breakfasts all across the country. it is called “networking” and they have been going on for years. Why? Because they work. These meetings allow you to hook up with the industry leaders in your local area.
I have attended a handful of these and it never ceases to amaze me the amount of free advertising done here. Nothing sleazy. Just honest interaction all devised to create a win/win situation. You will be surprised at how receptive some people are to your offer etc.
The second strategy involves giving away something for free. Find out the most influential person at these meetings. With a bit of study this should not be too hard. Approach this person and tell them you would like to give them your time and services for free. You will devise a marketing plan to get this person hundreds, if not thousands of visitors to their website for free.
Emphasize that you usually charge $1,000-$1500 for this service but you will do it for free providing he recommends your service to his circle of influence. This will be a huge bonus for your business.
Remember - 95% of the businesses in your area NEED what you have to offer and with offlinebiz.com you have the tool to propel any local business profits skyward. Win a couple of them over and your business will pick up incredible momentum.

How do You Make Money At Home Filling In Online Surveys?
You CAN make money taking online surveys from the comfort of your home. A lot of people have been doing this for years, including stay at home moms , college students , retirees, and anyone who wants to put in the effort.
Did I say effort? Yes, unfortunately you have to put some effort into taking surveys, and many people find that the amount of time put in is not worth the amount you get paid . When you look at it from one perspective , it may appear that you can make $50-$100 per hour. Marketers love to throw these figures around. The truth is that while some surveys may pay $25 for a 30 minute survey (the equivalent of $50/hour), you will also have to take a lot of other surveys where you get no compensation at all except a sweepstakes drawing. In addition , you have to spend a lot of time setting yourself up just to get started.
Nevertheless, most people who desire to work at home don’t have a lot of time to devote to working. That’s why filling in surveys and participating in focus groups can still be a viable option as an entry level job. The key word is “job.” You will only get paid as long as you are taking surveys, so if you are looking for passive income or the kind of leveraged wealth building that owning your own business can provide, paid surveys won’t do it. But if you just want some occasional spending money from easy to perform online activites, it is worth giving paid surveys a try. It doesn’t even matter what country you live in, as there are international paid surveys as well as domestic ones.
One problems is that in order to get the most opportunites , you have to sign up with many different survey sites. So how do you find all these sites? Survey databases are available which give you a list of online survey companies. It’s too bad that most of the survey database sites charge you $35-$50 just to access their list. The good thing is that there are other survey database sites that you can access for free. PaidSurveyMall is one such site, and it offers you a free list of paid surveys sites that you can join. Additional help is offered to make sure you have the best chance to succeed.
Although people living in the United States have the most survey sites to choose from, there are survey companies that offer residents worldwide the opportunity to make some money online through paid surveys. For example, PaidSurveyMall has segmented its list into sublists for residents of different countries. They have a list of Canadian paid surveys, as well as as a list of survey companies for UK residents, Australian residents, New Zealand residents and many others.
If you think you would be interested in getting paid for your time, opinions and observations, here are a few tips on being successful:
- REGISTER WITH AS MANY SURVEY SITES AS POSSIBLE: This can seem like a long task, but it will pay off. The more companies you register with the more chances to participate in surveys you will receive — which means more potential money for you.
- BE HONEST IN GIVING YOUR OPINION : Companies are looking for people from all walks of life to take their surveys. Trying to give them what you think they want will only get you in trouble.
- CHECK EMAIL REGULARLY: Most companies send out email invitations for the surveys they offer. They have a specific number of respondents they need, and when that quota fills up, the survey is closed. The surveys that pay the most fill up quickly, so it pays to check your email frequently to get in to those first.
- FILL IN THE ADDITIONAL PROFILES: Most survey companies ask you to fill in additional profiles (i.e.: what vehicle(s) you own, your spending habits online, etc.) The better you fill in these additional profiles, the better you will qualify for more surveys that fit your situation.
You won’t make a ton of maney taking online surveys, and there are definitely more lucrative ways to earn money online, but if you don’t want to take the time to learn all about internet business opportunities or don’t want to risk any money starting a new business venture , doing paid surveys can be one way to make a little extra spending money. You really don’t have much to lose by giving it a try!
You Can Put The Law Of Attraction To Work For Your Business.

Web Design, increase your usability
It is easy to make a dorky web page. It’s also easy to make a very nice, clean, professional-looking web page even if you don’t have much design experience. Often the difference, even for beginning designers, is simply a matter of eliminating certain features that are guaranteed to make a page look amateurish. I’ve been going through the list of things that people - designers and non-designers - from around the country have cited as the things that make the difference between a well-designed and a poorly designed web page.
Here’s a list of ten additional design elements that will increase the usability of virtually all sites:
- Place your name and logo on every page and make the logo a link to the home page (except on the home page itself, where the logo should not be a link: never have a link that points right back to the current page).
- Provide search if the site has more than 100 pages.
- Write straightforward and simple headlines and page titles that clearly explain what the page is about and that will make sense when read out-of-context in a search engine results listing.
- Structure the page to facilitate scanning and help users ignore large chunks of the page in a single glance: for example, use grouping and subheadings to break a long list into several smaller units.
- Instead of cramming everything about a product or topic into a single, infinite page, use hypertext to structure the content space into a starting page that provides an overview and several secondary pages that each focus on a specific topic. The goal is to allow users to avoid wasting time on those subtopics that don’t concern them.
- Use product photos, but avoid cluttered and bloated product family pages with lots of photos. Instead have a small photo on each of the individual product pages and link the photo to one or more bigger ones that show as much detail as users need. This varies depending on type of product. Some products may even need zoomable or rotatable photos, but reserve all such advanced features for the secondary pages. The primary product page must be fast and should be limited to a thumbnail shot.
- Use relevance-enhanced image reduction when preparing small photos and images: instead of simply resizing the original image to a tiny and unreadable thumbnail, zoom in on the most relevant detail and use a combination of cropping and resizing.
- Use link titles to provide users with a preview of where each link will take them, before they have clicked on it.
- Ensure that all important pages are accessible for users with disabilities, especially blind users.
- Do the same as everybody else: if most big websites do something in a certain way, then follow along since users will expect things to work the same on your site. Remember Jakob’s Law of the Web User Experience: users spend most of their time on other sites, so that’s where they form their expectations for how the Web works.
