3. I needed capping
4. I asked for his opinion on a stain to use on a section of the fence.

In other words, I gave him the impression I knew a fair bit about timber fences and did not want the wool pulled over my eyes as far as price went.

On the other side of the coin is if you searched for something similar to Pearcedale Wooden Fence your results would not give you the information you need. It is not specific enough.
